UCAN Volunteers
United Cancer Assistance Network (UCAN)
volunteers are at the heart of UCAN. They assist in a number of
important patient-focused activities. UCAN volunteers
|
- maintain extensive patient information and educational video
libraries,
- stock hats, wigs, scarves and turbans,
- visit patients and their families,
- direct support programs, and
- assist with fund-raising campaigns.
UCAN volunteers know what it means
to battle cancer. Each has been touched by the disease, either as
a victim or as the family member or friend of someone who has fought
the battle against cancer. For more information about UCAN volunteer
services, please call 573-776-1892 or toll-free 1-877-776-1892.

How YOU CAN help...
If you or someone you know has been
diagnosed with cancer and is in need of assistance, contact the
United Cancer Assistance Network (UCAN) at 573-776-1892 or 1-877-776-1892
and speak with a volunteer or leave a message and your call will
be returned promptly.
Each request for assistance requires
an application. This procedure begins with your phone call to UCAN
where a trained volunteer will begin the application process by
gathering preliminary information. After the application process
is completed, the request will be evaluated by the Board of Directors
as required. All applicants will be notified of program qualification
within ten (10) days of their request.
